IMPORTANT NOTE: Any qualified teacher seeking an extra-duty position will be given a hiring preference over other applicants.  This provision means that if two equally qualified persons apply for one extra-duty position, a preference shall be given to District teachers. This language is in accordance within the Master Agreement for Certified Staff for any given school year. This provision means that if two equally qualified persons apply for one extra-duty position, a preference shall be given to District teachers.  When the District chooses to fill an athletic coaching position, it shall choose the best qualified candidate.
