Good morning,
A reminder to please share with families that SUN Bucks/Summer EBT household applications are currently being accepted by Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS)!
Now is the best time for families to apply to ensure they get SUN Bucks away in the spring if they are eligible. Households approved for SUN Bucks will receive an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) debit card with $120 in grocery money loaded per eligible child in their household. Additional information on what can be purchased and where purchases can be made is included in the letter with the EBT card and also on the SUN Bucks website.

What can schools do to notify their families of the SUN Bucks application?
• Starting now, share the SUN Bucks website, and share information through newsletters, emails, flyers, or social media to households using the attached resources.
Who processes the applications and notifies households if they are eligible?
Montana DPHHS reviews applications that have been submitted and they notify applicants if the students on the application are approved or not approved for benefits.
Who should apply?
The parent or guardian of the student must complete and sign the application on behalf of their child.
Who is eligible?
Children are eligible if they:
1. are enrolled in a Montana school that participates in the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program, including a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision program,
2. have a total household income at or below 185% of the federal Income Eligibility Table (see below), and
3. complete an application before the end of the SUN Bucks program year. The deadline to apply
